New Guitar Equipment! A Pedalboard Update – Very Happy! πŸ˜ƒ

Bandit Dave has been busy recently… building this killer ultra-compact pedalboard! Everybody loves new guitar equipment right??

New Guitar Pedalboard!

New Pedalboard Setup

Okay… so we know this isn’t exactly the kind of setup that’s likely to spring to mind when thinking of a jazz band! Full-disclosure, this board was primarily designed for function band performances outside of The Jazz Bandits, however, as you may or may not already know by now, we bandits do like to mix things up when the opportunity arises!

The Nerdy Stuff

The Pedalboard

Making the absolute most out of the limited real estate available, Dave set out to build his new setup on one of the most compact offerings available from industry giant, Pedaltrain. This small, yet highly versatile setup sits comfortably on a Pedaltrain Nano+ without compromising on essential tones!

Initial Pedals

First off, Dave’s guitar plugs straight into the Fuzz Face Mini Jimi Hendrix FFM3, also eliminating the need for an input buffer.

Wah & Compression

Next up, we hit the incredible Hotone Soul Press SP-10, on the wah setting. The signal then feeds into the rock-solid Xotic SP Compressor which, as a result, evens out the dynamics.

Overdrive & Distortion

Next up is the overdrive/distortion, which consists of newer mini versions of two classic pedals.

An Ibanez Tube Screamer Mini, followed by a ProCo Lil’ RAT, so no messing around here!

Noise Gating

Following a quick safety measure with the simple (yet effective) Noise Killer by budget pedal manufacturer MOOER, we’re now just one unit away from moving on to our time-based FX.

Modulation

It is incredibly hard to find fault with the MOOER Mod Factory considering the ENORMOUS range of modulation sounds that this tiny pedal is capable of delivering (and for a crazy low price)!

Delay

The BOSS DD-8 Delay coupled with the BOSS FS-7 Dual Footswitch offers a huge range of delay capabilities. The FS-7 expands on the capabilities of the DD8 by enabling tap tempo and expression features.

Being a BOSS device, the DD-8 also functions as a high-quality output buffer. This allows Dave’s amplifier to do its thing and let the valves sing!

Amplification & Reverb

Dave predominantly uses a Fender Super Champ XD amplifier with a touch of reverb dialled in. Using the amplifier’s onboard reverb eliminates the need for a dedicated reverb pedal, therefore saving space on the board.

Pedalboard Power

Chuck in an MXR DC Brick and dial-in and we’re cooking with fire! πŸ”₯
